The veg and herb haulSince my last post, I have made more courgette chutney.  In my quest to reduce the waste, I have made more tomatoe (pasta) sauce.  As I mentioned at the beginning of the greenest street project my aim was to use the fruits of the garden (in this case tomatoes) to cut down on the canned tomatoes and pasta sauce that I am purchasing from the supermaket.  Perhaps it hasn’t been as lucrative as I expected but I do have a stash of about 6 jars in the pantry.  I am over the moon with the produce coming out of the garden, particularly my chillis and capsicums.  I have struggled with capsicum growing for quite some time and this year i have nailed it.
