Turners garden update 2

We are pleased with this change in our garden. Do you remember the hedge between ours and Donnas and Bryan’s garden? It looked like this.

Well now it looks like this.

Complete with a mandarine tree, a pear tree, a fig tree, 3 feijoas, 3 chillean guavas, 4 blackcurrant bushes, strawberries, lavenders, pineapple sage, borage, rosemary, salvias,  chocolate geraniums and globe artichokes.

The raised beds were made from old retaining half rounds and filled with twigs, leaves, grass clippings, shredded plants from the garden and shredded paper, rabbit, sheep and chicken pooh a sort of ” no dig/ hugel culture” type of garden with planting spaces filled with compost from the garden. All topped off with lashing of bio digester and worm wee juices.
